the process

Please feel free to give us a call with your name and address or email us through our contact page. We will arrange a time that's convenient with you to do a FREE feasibility study of your loft.

We then send you an estimate from the details / info we have acquired from our visit.

At the next stage, if you are happy with our estimate, we will then proceed with the architectural design, drawings, calculations and building regulations compliance, which takes 10-12 weeks. We then visit you as many times as required to make sure every detail is to your liking. Approximately 10-12 weeks later, your drawings will be passed and we will be in contact with you to agree a start date most suitable.

Until we have agreed a start date you are not tied to Space Invaders, all you would be required to pay is your architectural fee.

the job

After signing contracts, we would then erect the scaffold on the agreed start date, take delivery of the skip and materials. At this point the first payment is due, approximately one third of the contract price.

We then build your loft from the scaffold, keeping you informed at every stage of working progress. We build up to plasterboard shell at which point you can then venture into your new loft to add your finishing touches and wall positions. We build your loft in this way to minimise disruption and dust build up to your existing property, at this stage we can then open out your stairwell, fit your new staircase and plaster with a two coat plaster finish ready to fit your bathroom suite, doors, skirting, architrave and spindles.

At each stage of the job we like to get the customer involved to make sure everything in the loft is positioned correctly, allowing for you to position your furniture as intended.
